The Rescue Package (Bailout)

Other than the blogs that I have published with who is to blame, and the videos on who is to blame, I have not really put my opinion out on this rescue package. I have heard countless so called "experts" say that it is needed, some say that it is not, I have heard some economists come out and say that it is needed, but we still might go into a recession, and others saying that we will be fine without it. So where could one stand on this, when in reality nobody has a clue if it will work or not? I have taken a few days to really think about this, and how we got here, and that is how I arrived at my decision.

I do not know of any large scale government program that has succeeded. It seems that the larger Washington is, and the more power they have, the more things get screwed up. Just look at Fannie and Freddie, Social Security, Welfare, Medicare and Medicaid, all of them pretty much bankrupt. The IRS was set up as a temporary organization, well it is still here. Why is the IRS still here? Because when the People simply give government the authority to have broader powers, even if only temporarily, they will never relinquish it. Roosevelt's New Deal, was a huge waste of money, and although some attribute us getting out of the Depression Era because of it, it was really World War II that got us out.

The market lost $777 yesterday, the biggest single day dollar amount loss, but it was the 17Th overall percentage loss (more importantly). Today the market has rebounded, and private citizens and enterprises are acquiring stock and companies at a bargain. The free market kind of corrects itself, without the real need for government intervention. The Treasury has already put so much money into the market, and banking institutions, is an additional trillion really necessary?

One thing that bugs me, if this was this big crisis that needed to be passed immediately, then how was Congress able to take 2 days off? It is all a matter of politics. Proof of it lies in the fact, as previously mentioned, that Pelosi told Democrats up for reelection that they did not have to vote in favor of the bill. She knows that the People do not want this. It is all political and the reason why Congress has a 9% approval rating.

Bailout

The bailout as it stood was not acceptable. It was filled with items that taxpayers should not foot the bill for. The President is wrong on this, after all though, he has not been fiscally conservative. This is a typical Democrat bill, which they along with the Democrat Henry Paulson, who should resign, crafted. The democrats did not allow the Republicans any input on this bill, yet they expected the Republicans to vote for it. The American people did not agree with that bailout, and that is why the House voted the way it did. Barney Frank though, the same Barney Frank in this blog's video heard saying that Fannie and Freddie did not have any problems, is blaming the Republicans and Nancy Pelosi is praising him. Well let us look at how the House voted: The vote ended with 205 in favor, and 228 oppose to the bill, 140 Democrats and 65 Republicans voted for the bill, 95 Democrats and 133 Republicans voted against it. Why are they not blaming the Democrats? Their own party, they could have single handily passed this bill, but they did not. Nancy Pelosi told 16 Freshman Democrats that they could vote against it in order to not risk their reelection. You see with the Democrats, it is all about power, they could care less about you or I. The Democrats put us in this mess, and were unable to get THEIR bill passed, and they blame us for everything.

Great Ol' Alcee Hastings

Again, another Democrat is trying to play the race card, as if the Obama campaign has not done it enough. Why can't someone not support Obama due to the fact that he is an appeaser like Arthur N. Chamberlain, or because he is the most Socialist Democratic candidate after. Well Alcee Hastings, the Florida Democratic Congressman and Black Caucus leader, said the following yesterday:

"If Sarah Palin isn't enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention," said Hastings. "Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through."

This is the same Alcee Hastings who as a Federal Judge was impeached, one of only 6 that have ever been impeached, for perjury and corruption charges. Well Democrats elected him to Congress, and now he decides to put his two cents in.

Why would the Jewish people listen to him? This is the same Alcee Hastings who associates with Louis Farrakhan, the known anti-Semitic leader of the Nation of Islam. Obama has also associated with Farrakhan and served on boards with him. And this is the same Obama who would sit with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to hold peaceful talks.

Update: I urge people to call his office and let them know who disturbing and unacceptable his comments are: Tel: (202) 225-1313

9/30 Update:Alcee Hastings apologized, well not really, he just realized he said something stupid that he does not regret saying. Here are his statements: "I regret the comments I made last Tuesday that were not smart and certainly not relevant to hunters or sportsmen,"

"The point I made, and will continue to make, is that the policies and priorities of a McCain-Palin administration would be anathema to most African Americans and Jews,"

"I regret that I was not clearer and apologize to Governor Palin, my host where I was speaking, and those who my comments may have offended."

Fannie, Freddie, Rick Davis and Franklin Raines

The New York Times published an article stating that a company owned in part by Rick Davis, the Campaign Manager for the McCain Campaign received $15,000 a month since late 2005 from Freddie Mac. What is interesting is that Rick Davis has not received any compensation from his company, or profit sharing or any other sort of compensation from that company since he took a leave of absence in 2006. He never had any part in the lobbying work that was done for Freddie Mac, and furthermore he has not done ANY lobbying work since 2005.

What bothers me is that the New York Times published this article, yet I do not see any article about the two Obama Economic Advisers, Franklin Raines and Jim Johnson. Now that the FBI is investigating Freddie, Fannie, Lehman and AIG, it will come out that Fannie and Freddie cooked their books, as was already found in a previous investigation. This was done when when Franklin Raines was Chairman and CEO of Fannie Mae. Franklin Raines received over $90 million in compensation for the six year period that he held these positions. Raines quickly walked away from Fannie, knowing that Fannie was on its way down. Obama no disputes the fact that Raines is a financial adviser, despite the fact that Raines and Obama were both quoted in the past as it being true. Jim Johnson is not only an advisor to Obama, but also was part of his Vice Presidential selection committee. Jim Johnson was a managing director at Lehman Brothers (Bankrupt), CEO of Fannie Mae (now in government control), was a board member of Goldman Sachs (Almost bankrupt), and received illegal loans from Countrywide (Bought out, but for pennies on the dollar due to it almost being bankrupt).

These are the people that are advising Obama, and his supporters actually believe that he has better economic policies than McCain. The media will not report these stories, but it is up to the public to ask the questions. I might sound ignorant, but I believe the people of the U.S. are smart enough to realize what is going on.

Biden Gaffes, Again...

Aside from stating that the Obama (His) Campaign was wrong to put the ad attacking John McCain as old, and not being able to use a computer (McCain cannot use a computer because his arms cannot be lowered due to the torture he endured in Hanoi). Joe Biden made another gaffe.

While being interviewed by Katie Couric, Biden said "When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed," Biden told Couric. "He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'"

Well, unfortunately for Biden, Roosevelt was not President until 1933, four years after the stock market crashed, it was actually President Herbert Hoover. Another embarrassing gaffe was that the television was a very experimental appliance at the time of the stock market crash, and really was not widely available until the early 40's. In the 1930's, only New York City and Los Angeles.

Fannie and Freddie

As I have spoken about in my previous posts, I do believe that the Democrats had a big hand in what occurred with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. I would be ignorant to say that the Republicans had no part in it, which I believe that they did, just not to the degree of the Democrats. If the Democrats would be so sure that they had no part in this, they would, as they always do, launch countless investigations and Congressional hearings. They have not done so simply because they do not want to air their dirty laundry. McCain has been blamed, even though he tried to pass a bill in 2006 to correct these issues, and all the while Obama has just sat back and collected money from Fannie and Freddie. What really gets to me, what really bothers me is that the liberals are doing what they have done for the last 8 years, blame Bush. Never mind the fact that Clinton signed the laws into action that created this mess, but to blame Bush, now that is ridiculous. President Bush has tried 17 times over the last eight years to correct this issue, but the Democrats in Congress refused to pass any of them. Why? Because they were to busy fattening their pockets.

Here is a list of the times that President Bush tried to prevent what happened with Freddie and Fannie:
2001
April: The Administration's FY02 budget declares that the size of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is "a potential problem," because "financial trouble of a large GSE could cause strong repercussions in financial markets, affecting Federally insured entities and economic activity."

2002
May: The President calls for the disclosure and corporate governance principles contained in his 10-point plan for corporate responsibility to apply to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. (OMB Prompt Letter to OFHEO, 5/29/02)

2003
January: Freddie Mac announces it has to restate financial results for the previous three years.
February: The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) releases a report explaining that "although investors perceive an implicit Federal guarantee of [GSE] obligations," "the government has provided no explicit legal backing for them." As a consequence, unexpected problems at a GSE could immediately spread into financial sectors beyond the housing market. ("Systemic Risk: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Role of OFHEO," OFHEO Report, 2/4/03)
September: Fannie Mae discloses SEC investigation and acknowledges OFHEO's review found earnings manipulations.
September: Treasury Secretary John Snow testifies before the House Financial Services Committee to recommend that Congress enact "legislation to create a new Federal agency to regulate and supervise the financial activities of our housing-related government sponsored enterprises" and set prudent and appropriate minimum capital adequacy requirements.
October: Fannie Mae discloses $1.2 billion accounting error.
November: Council of the Economic Advisers (CEA) Chairman Greg Mankiw explains that any "legislation to reform GSE regulation should empower the new regulator with sufficient strength and credibility to reduce systemic risk." To reduce the potential for systemic instability, the regulator would have "broad authority to set both risk-based and minimum capital standards" and "receivership powers necessary to wind down the affairs of a troubled GSE." (N. Gregory Mankiw, Remarks At The Conference Of State Bank Supervisors State Banking Summit And Leadership, 11/6/03)

2004
February: The President's FY05 Budget again highlights the risk posed by the explosive growth of the GSEs and their low levels of required capital, and called for creation of a new, world-class regulator: "The Administration has determined that the safety and soundness regulators of the housing GSEs lack sufficient power and stature to meet their responsibilities, and therefore…should be replaced with a new strengthened regulator." (2005 Budget Analytic Perspectives, pg. 83)
February: CEA Chairman Mankiw cautions Congress to "not take [the financial market's] strength for granted." Again, the call from the Administration was to reduce this risk by "ensuring that the housing GSEs are overseen by an effective regulator." (N. Gregory Mankiw, Op-Ed, "Keeping Fannie And Freddie's House In Order," Financial Times, 2/24/04)
June: Deputy Secretary of Treasury Samuel Bodman spotlights the risk posed by the GSEs and called for reform, saying "We do not have a world-class system of supervision of the housing government sponsored enterprises (GSEs), even though the importance of the housing financial system that the GSEs serve demands the best in supervision to ensure the long-term vitality of that system. Therefore, the Administration has called for a new, first class, regulatory supervisor for the three housing GSEs: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Banking System." (Samuel Bodman, House Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations Testimony, 6/16/04)

2005
April: Treasury Secretary John Snow repeats his call for GSE reform, saying "Events that have transpired since I testified before this Committee in 2003 reinforce concerns over the systemic risks posed by the GSEs and further highlight the need for real GSE reform to ensure that our housing finance system remains a strong and vibrant source of funding for expanding homeownership opportunities in America… Half-measures will only exacerbate the risks to our financial system." (Secretary John W. Snow, "Testimony Before The U.S. House Financial Services Committee," 4/13/05)

2007
July: Two Bear Stearns hedge funds invested in mortgage securities collapse.
August: President Bush emphatically calls on Congress to pass a reform package for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, saying "first things first when it comes to those two institutions. Congress needs to get them reformed, get them streamlined, get them focused, and then I will consider other options." (President George W. Bush, Press Conference, The White House, 8/9/07)
September: RealtyTrac announces foreclosure filings up 243,000 in August – up 115 percent from the year before.
September: Single-family existing home sales decreases 7.5 percent from the previous month – the lowest level in nine years. Median sale price of existing homes fell six percent from the year before.
December: President Bush again warns Congress of the need to pass legislation reforming GSEs, saying "These institutions provide liquidity in the mortgage market that benefits millions of homeowners, and it is vital they operate safely and operate soundly. So I've called on Congress to pass legislation that strengthens independent regulation of the GSEs – and ensures they focus on their important housing mission. The GSE reform bill passed by the House earlier this year is a good start. But the Senate has not acted. And the United States Senate needs to pass this legislation soon." (President George W. Bush, Discusses Housing, The White House, 12/6/07)

2008
January: Bank of America announces it will buy Countrywide.
January: Citigroup announces mortgage portfolio lost $18.1 billion in value.
February: Assistant Secretary David Nason reiterates the urgency of reforms, says "A new regulatory structure for the housing GSEs is essential if these entities are to continue to perform their public mission successfully." (David Nason, Testimony On Reforming GSE Regulation, Senate Committee On Banking, Housing And Urban Affairs, 2/7/08)
March: Bear Stearns announces it will sell itself to JPMorgan Chase.
March: President Bush calls on Congress to take action and "move forward with reforms on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. They need to continue to modernize the FHA, as well as allow State housing agencies to issue tax-free bonds to homeowners to refinance their mortgages." (President George W. Bush, Remarks To The Economic Club Of New York, New York, NY, 3/14/08)
April: President Bush urges Congress to pass the much needed legislation and "modernize Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. [There are] constructive things Congress can do that will encourage the housing market to correct quickly by … helping people stay in their homes." (President George W. Bush, Meeting With Cabinet, the White House, 4/14/08)
May: President Bush issues several pleas to Congress to pass legislation reforming Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac before the situation deteriorates further.
"Americans are concerned about making their mortgage payments and keeping their homes. Yet Congress has failed to pass legislation I have repeatedly requested to modernize the Federal Housing Administration that will help more families stay in their homes, reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to ensure they focus on their housing mission, and allow State housing agencies to issue tax-free bonds to refinance sub-prime loans." (President George W. Bush, Radio Address, 5/3/08)
"[T]he government ought to be helping creditworthy people stay in their homes. And one way we can do that – and Congress is making progress on this – is the reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. That reform will come with a strong, independent regulator." (President George W. Bush, Meeting With The Secretary Of The Treasury, the White House, 5/19/08)
"Congress needs to pass legislation to modernize the Federal Housing Administration, reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to ensure they focus on their housing mission, and allow State housing agencies to issue tax-free bonds to refinance subprime loans." (President George W. Bush, Radio Address, 5/31/08)
June: As foreclosure rates continued to rise in the first quarter, the President once again asks Congress to take the necessary measures to address this challenge, saying "we need to pass legislation to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac." (President George W. Bush, Remarks At Swearing In Ceremony For Secretary Of Housing And Urban Development, Washington, D.C., 6/6/08)
July: Congress heeds the President's call for action and passes reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as it becomes clear that the institutions are failing.

These are all aside from Bill S. 190 which John McCain co-sponsored. And no one is mentioning that these organizations were some of B.H. Obama's largest supporters. So who is really to blame here?

The Economy

Last Thursday I posted a blog regarding the government bail out, and how this entire issue could have been averted had the Democrats who were protecting Fannie and Freddie, in part because they would receive so much money from them, voted for Bill S. 190 which John McCain cosponsored in 2006. Bloomberg has a great article which describes the entire mess we are in, and how the Democrats got us into it.
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601039&refer=columnist_hassett&sid=aSKSoiNbnQY0

Interesting enough, the article speaks about Franklin Raines, the ex-Fannie Chief who cooked the books, much like the Enron scandal. Unlike Ken Lay though, he does not go to jail, he gets to become Barack Obama's Head Economic Advisers. A storyline like this I could not make up.

Barack Obama Test

I just finished taking the Barack Obama Test at http://www.barackobamatest.com/ , to see if he had my best interests in mind.

Here are my results:

You DISAGREED with the Barack Obama position on 51 of the 51 test questions. This means you disagree with the Obama position 100% of the time.

Take the test and see how much of your interests he has.

Email Hackers, Big Government and Other Things Occurring This Week...

This week has been hectic and filled with news.

Over the last two days the stock markets, on a global level, have tanked, and the U.S. Government has unfortunately grown. As if the Government of this great country was not already too large for a free democratic society with Capitalist free markets, the government stepped in to bail out AIG. Many people are saying that it was necessary, but it is tax payer dollars going to that, and the government taking over private assets is not really a part of the Conservative mind set. A few weeks back the government took over the horribly run Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, organizations that were run into the ground by liberals.

Franklin Raines and Jim Johnson both ran Fannie and Freddie, and guess where they are? They are Economic Advisers for The Messiah, Barry Obama. These gentlemen, I say that loosely, were compensated heavily, and a lot of it was not disclosed. Yet the Democrats have tried to blame all of this on President Bush. President Bush has not been involved, and it was the Clinton Administration, in 1994, that relaxed the standards so that any individual would qualify for a house. Obviously, the people who took out these loans are just as responsible.

John McCain actually tried to stop this mess from occurring in 2006 when he cosponsored Bill S. 190 saying the following: "Fannie Mae’s regulator reported that the company’s quarterly reports of profit growth over the past few years were “illusions deliberately and systematically created” by the company’s senior management, which resulted in a $10.6 billion accounting scandal.
The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight’s report goes on to say that Fannie Mae employees deliberately and intentionally manipulated financial reports to hit earnings targets in order to trigger bonuses for senior executives. In the case of Franklin Raines, Fannie Mae’s former chief executive officer, OFHEO’s report shows that over half of Mr. Raines’ compensation for the 6 years through 2003 was directly tied to meeting earnings targets. The report of financial misconduct at Fannie Mae echoes the deeply troubling $5 billion profit restatement at Freddie Mac.
The OFHEO report also states that Fannie Mae used its political power to lobby Congress in an effort to interfere with the regulator’s examination of the company’s accounting problems. This report comes some weeks after Freddie Mac paid a record $3.8 million fine in a settlement with the Federal Election Commission and restated lobbying disclosure reports from 2004 to 2005. These are entities that have demonstrated over and over again that they are deeply in need of reform.
For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac–known as Government-sponsored entities or GSEs–and the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market. OFHEO’s report this week does nothing to ease these concerns. In fact, the report does quite the contrary. OFHEO’s report solidifies my view that the GSEs need to be reformed without delay.
I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.
I urge my colleagues to support swift action on this GSE reform legislature."

Furthermore, according to http://www.opensecrets.org/ (http://www.opensecrets.org/news/2008/09/update-fannie-mae-and-freddie.html ), a web site that lists donor information it seems the Democrats are very popular with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac employees and Political Action Committees. Open Secrets conducted a search, and for the period of 1989 through 2008, Democrats had received the largest amount of donations from those employed by the now government run entities, but which ones you might ask? Chris Dodd received the most amount of money, he has been in office for the entire 20 year period. The next one might surprise you, but really only if you are ignorant, Barack "The Oracle" Obama received the second most amount. If that is not shocking enough despite his claims of being against lobbyist and all the other lies that spew from his mouth, he was only in the U.S. Senate for two years of the 20 year period that was examined. In third place was another Democratic Presidential Candidate (Former), John Kerry, and Hillary came in 12th, although she has only been in office for 7 of the 20 years. Now I know you are interested in knowing where McCain was on the list. John McCain, although he has served during the entire 20 year period, came in 62nd place.

On another note, Governor Sarah Palin's email was hacked, and the Secret Service is now investigating the incident. The Liberals do whatever they want to, and feel like they should be able to get away with it. On the other hand, us Conservative are scrutinized for everything we do. The shocker here is that the investigation has been derailed a bit by the AP, who refused to cooperate with the Secret Service. How would have thought that the media would not want to cooperate on this, let alone report it.

Dr. Ron Paul, who I support and agree with very much, has this sign on his desk. I think it is too priceless to not post:

Blasphemy

The Democrats have even resorted to Blasphemy in order to attack Governor Palin. What started with the Liberal nut job website Daily Kos, has now extended to Donna Brazile and even the Congress floor with Congressman Steve Cohen of Tennessee. Below is the transcript from today's speech on the Congress floor by Rep. Cohen:

Dem. Rep. Steve Cohen (TN) - I submit to you, Mr. Speaker, that the parties have differences. But if you want change, you want the Democratic Party. Barack Obama was a community organizer like Jesus, who our minister prayed about. Pontius Pilate was a governor. Thank you, Mr. Speaker.

They have all been saying similar things. So according to the liberals, Obama is like Jesus and Palin like Pontius Pilate. And if that is not enough, Joe Biden stated that Sarah Palin did not love her Down Syndrome Child, because if she did, she would support Stem Cell Research. Yet Biden claims to be a Catholic. And the South Carolina Democratic chair, Carol Fowler, stated that John McCain choose a running mate " whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.” This is disgusting behavior coming from the left, and the more their true colors show, the more people will open their eyes.

John Kerry said something similar that killed his campaign. Kerry in October of 2004 stated "You know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq." Below is the response by the soldiers serving in Iraq.

Palin/US Weekly Cover Update

Subscribers of US Weekly who were upset at the cover of Sarah Palin, shown on my blog from last week, wanted to cancel their subscriptions(Click image to enlarge). US Weekly tried bribing them with 5 Free Issues. How thoughtful of them, that must be the equivalent of a whole $10.

(I want to thank the Schnitt Show for the image above)

Desperate for Attention

Down in the polls and desperately seeking the attention the Obama camp is used to receiving from the media, Barack's tongue slips, because isn't there no such thing as bad publicity? Actually, in a Presidential race, I believe there is. At first I looked at the comment and automatically knew it was a jab, but then I decided to step back and really analyze it, could it really just be a figure of speech? It could have been, but I can almost guarantee you that it was not.

Before B. Husein Obama decided to use the "Pig in Lipstick" analogy at his Virginia speech, his campaign had already used it, and it was while referring to Sarah Palin. A Democratic Congressman, Ross Carnahan, was introducing Joe Biden earlier that day at a campaign speech, while commenting about her record, Carnahan said “There’s no way you can dress up that record, even with a lot of lipstick.” It is obvious that the lipstick was becoming a part of the democrats' talking points, only a week after Sarah Palin gave her "Pitbull in Lipstick" speech. The Democrats are desperate to receive the attention that they are accustomed to, but Sarah Palin is stealing the spotlight, and there is no way they are going to let her do that. The McCain camp received a huge bounce from the convention, as oppose to Obama's 1 point hop. They are angry, because they own the media, there is no way that someone else should have so much coverage, let alone be ahead. The Democrats, now have become desperate and will become more and more hostile and insulting. After all, it is their innate behavior.

The Obama camp has come back at the request of the McCain campaign for an apology by stating that it was an analogy about their use of the word "Change." They have also said that the McCain camp is playing the "gender card." I was at a loss of words after having heard that, I mean isn't part of the Obama campaign mantra playing the race card? His delivery, (Obama's speeches are getting worse and worse and his anger is making him less than eloquent), was that of a joke, he paused for the punchline and all. Unfortunately when Obama does not have a teleprompter he loses the ability to speak as well as usual, and he also loses his comedic timing. Aside from having trying to deliver it as a joke, he followed it up with another analogy, one about an "old fish" and how it still smells if you wrap it in paper. Now isn't McCain's "old" age another talking point of the Obama campaign? Two bad analogies, now the democrats are much wiser and planned that that. They would never put those out there unless it was on purpose.

My theory is that Obama lost a lot of his base when he started practicing the politics of old, the politics he said he was not a part of. Now, he is trying to reach back at that base, the liberal fringe, by taking cheap subtle shots at the McCain camp. America, fortunately, is too wise to fall for any of his cheap tricks.

Friday Shorts

I'll keep this posting short, as there is a hurricane looming upon us in South Florida, and heck, it is Friday.

Liberal environmentalist wackos should be going insane at Obama, at 47 years old he has wasted more trees with his two arrogant memoirs while really not conveying any real message. That is other than, he smoked marijuana and did cocaine. His quotes from Jeremiah Wright degrading white people in his sermons, he loved those sermons so much that he titled his book, "The Audacity of Hope," after one such sermon. This pompous man, who feels so self entitled that he had to speak about himself in not one, but two books (with a third on the way might I add), before having done anything. In 1995, Obama published Dreams from my Father, this was before even being on the Illinois State Senate. How many Community Organizers publish autobiographies? Then after being in the U.S. Senate for about a year, he decided it was time to gloat again. I will leave you with some lovely (disturbing) quotes from his books:

"I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."-Dreams from my Father (Introduction page xv)

"There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white."-Dreams from my Father (Page 142)

There are a lot more, but I refuse to dumb myself down by reading his mindless blabber.

This just in

Obama and Biden stated this morning that, if elected, they will pursue war crime charges against President Bush. This is astonishing, not only has President Bush not committed any war crimes, but Joe Biden voted for the war, so unless he wants to include himself and the rest of the Democrats that voted for the war, I see this as a joke. If you have a second go on You Tube and type in the key words "democrat, Iraq" to see a video which quotes a large amount of high power democrats stating why we should go into Iraq. As always, the Democrats find a way to stumble over their long forked tongues...

Update: I just read an article that stated that 125 were shot and killed over the summer in Obama's home city of Chicago. That is twice the number of soldiers that were killed in Iraq over the same time period. Maybe Obama should try and put Hope and Change into his city. It shows he has not done much for the people who elected him into the State Senate, and the U.S. Senate, let alone the "community" he "organized."

VP Sarah Palin

Governor Sarah Palin's speech last night was impressive to say the least. The media has already reacted, and unable to let the story of 17 year old Bristol Palin go, they have decided to continue to use it as their daily talking point. Commentary of Palin's speech, by the liberals and left wing media have stated that she did not say anything specific regarding the economy and "did not mention the words middle class once," as Joe Biden said on this morning's Good Morning America. Maybe the left wing has not realized that this country does have a large middle class, but it is not the only class, so why try to pander, as they do, to only a specific economic group. It was not Sarah Palin's job to describe the economy, her speech was an introduction of herself to America. John McCain's speech tonight will touch base with every stance that his campaign has, including the economy. Another talking point the democrats refuse to let go is the view that this is another eight years of Bush, which in reality is a complete and utter lie, but they are trying to drill it into the skulls of the entire nation, although it is the only type of drilling they are willing to do. Palin's speech has been called fear mongering and mean, I guess the democrats are the only ones allowed to take shots, whether moral or not, at us conservatives. Her speech was a breath of fresh air. She took a stance, and I think the American people appreciate someone finally coming out and saying it like it is and going after the media. America is waking up and realizing that the media does not have the same morals and objectives as they do, and this will hurt the democrats. The Democrats must realize that once the United States notices that the media has been their puppet this entire time, and trying to push liberal views down their throats on a daily, and on cable news networks like MSNBC and CNN hourly, it is going to be looked at in a negative way and it will ultimately back fire. On a brighter note, although it will not be mentioned much in the news, half way through her speech Sarah Palin's teleprompter failed, but she kept going, and delivered an impromptu, incredible speech. I remember when Obama's teleprompter failed and he was left stuttering and speechless until the problem was fixed, demonstrating that in fact he was just an empty suit.

The Surge Worked

General Petreaus spoke this morning regarding troop presence in Baghdad. The General stated that troops could be withdrawn from Baghdad by next summer. Furthermore, over the last week, the media outlets have been too busy crossing their fingers and hoping for another Katrina, that they have barely mentioned the fact that the Anbar province was handed over to Iraqi Police and Armed Forces. It is obvious this morning's interview with General Petreaus will be ignored in order to focus on Bristol Palin (unacceptable reporting) and other Pro-Obama nonsense.

The progress in Iraq will not be reported, as it hurts the left, and since both Obama and Biden voted against the surge and stated that they would not work, there is no way in hell that they will bring this success to light. While Obama was busy on his Flagless Publicity World Tour, he mentioned the need for more troops in Afghanistan and ballroom danced around the surge's undeniable triumph. Yet Obama's 300 foreign policy advisers failed to mention the fact that Afghanistan was NATO directed, and that the US had little say.

The media believes the US population are deaf, dumb and blind sheep. That We The People are a gullible flock, but America is catching on to this notion. Don;t let Hollywood and the media decide the vote that you deserve as a citizen of this great country.

Passing Judgement at Palin

This weekend my family was out on our annual vacation to Sanibel Island off the Southwest coast of Florida. Friday morning, as everyone packed their bags, and were loading up the cars, we heard that John McCain had nominated Sarah Palin as his vice presidential nominee. Although, I had heard her name before, but was barely familiar, I was ecstatic at the idea of a true conservative woman being his running mate. I have not been too excited about McCain's nomination, because honestly I do not see much of a conservative in some of his actions, which is one reason I am amazed that the left has continuously tried to connect President Bush and McCain. Seeing Palin, I was a little more relieved at voting for him.

McCain and Palin, it sounded like a winning ticket, but it did not take long for the angry left, and the angry media to begin rolling out the insults and lies. How desperate is the left when all they could do is attack poor Bristol Palin, in something that has absolutely nothing to do with this campaign or with Sarah Palin. This ladies and gentlemen, is a sign of how desperate, and immoral the left is. The next attack was about Sarah Palin's husband, and a DUI that he received in the 1980's. Al Gore's son received a DUI during his Presidential run in 2000, yet that was never heard. Joe Biden's son is now involved in a hedge fund that is fishy and questionable, yet the media has yet to report that. Barack H. Obama's own mother was 18 and unwed at the time of his birth, but that is not an issue. This is so sickening, this is the same left that would give Bristol the option to abort this human life without having to tell her parents, but they would be more approving of that that of her wanting to keep the baby and marry the father.

This is what this campaign has boiled down to:
The media has fallen in love with Obama, and will do anything to assure his success. US Weekly is going to publish next week's issue with Sarah Palin and the headline "Babies, Lies and Scandal," all the while having issued an article earlier this year with The Obamas and the headline "Why he Barack loves her." The media and left has done anything they can to censor any talk of William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, and Father Pfleger, not one mention of Louis Farrakhan and his association with Barack, and the Rezko real estate deal has been more than shunned. Obama is almost like the Manchurian Candidate, posing in front of his Greek Palace setting, like a rock star, in the media of InRezco field. Comments made by Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton last year regarding Obama's inexperience have been completely forgotten, the taped evidence burned. Obama's two autobiographies, both written by the age of 47 by someone who has accomplished nothing, have never been quoted. This country can make the biggest mistake of it's life in electing Obama, and although they feel they cannot lose, they will talk down to the country if he is not. America should prepare to be called racist bigots if he is not elected, because the left is an insulting group who cannot look past race themselves. For Left is now ready to crucify a 17 year old girl, because it cannot find any intelligent discourse to counter McCain's selection of Palin.

If this is the start of their war of insults and immoral attacks, I cannot imagine what they will ramp their attacks up to once they begin to slip in the polls. Any woman should be proud of what Governor Palin has accomplished, and what she can accomplish if elected. Yet the left cannot look past the fact that she is conservative. This proves that Hilary Clinton and Obama are just a novelty to the left, a way to further their radical agenda in a package that makes history. If this were not true, then the nomination of Governer Palin would be applauded by them.

The covers below were also recently brought into light, too bad the liberal media never published any covers with John Edwards and has love child on it. Or maybe a photo of him and Elizabeth Edwards stating the truth of that case (How he cheated on his wife while she was going through cancer treatment, how he fathered a love child while married, or better yet how his lover was paid through campaign finances). Bristol Palin is not running for VP, her mother is, yet John Edwards was running for President. Or how about the Rev. Jesse Jackson's love child? That sort of behavior from the left is considered acceptable, even if they are not reverend acts. Stark contrasts.
